I know that I will have to work really hard to really get back on track, but we are getting there. One good thing is that we could totally confront the issue and deal with it thoroughly and honestly- because I know my BF, if you just ignore things and try to sweep things under the carpet, it will always fester in his mind. But if you accept your mistake and let him know that you are really sorry, then it is water under the bridge as far as he is concerned. and that is how he behaves too. he always acknoledges his mistakes and doesnt try to make excuses for it.

10 here, and I think the biggest diff between someone with Asperger's and someone with AD/HD is that those with AD/HD find it much easier to switch directions when something comes up--too easy actually. They are much less likely to get stuck in a routine, and less likely to go on and on about a particular subject. If anything, they will change the subject faster than most people are comfortable with, b/c they are free-associating, and it makes sense to them if not to other people. Either extreme can often turn people away, but people with AD/HD I think are better at reading people's intentions. I always said that I have terrible social skills, but I know what's in your heart.

2) They make moves. We can go off about date rape and such, but look how many women do willingly have casual hookup sex with frat boys. Much of that comes from being fun, being in the moment, and then making a move.
